Purchased by Jeanette when visiting Innsbruck, Austria. Was purchased along with St. Laurent Reserve - 2019 - Weingut Familie Auer, with the shopkeeper saying that the 2019 was supposed to be better.
That said, Falstaff gives it a 92 in their ratings, with Peter Moser saying, "Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, breitere Randaufhellung. Feine Holzwürze, etwas nach Bourbonvanille, floraler Touch, reife Zwetschken, mit einem Hauch von Minze unterlegte Orangenzesten. Saftig, straff, engmaschig, frische Struktur, mineralisch, rote Kirschen im Abgang, bereits gut antrinkbar, eleganter Speisenbegleiter." in a 2020 review.
On the other hand, the 2019 got a 93 from Falstaff.
Tasting notes: April - Smells likea dark red wine, as such things normally do, for me. Lightly sweet, quite sour. Pretty pleasant, though it's primarily sour in its flavor, which is good and bad. But it seems to be calm, throughout, and isn't too bitter or too strong with any of the back of the mouth portion of it. Seems like a solid red wine.
Aroma: dark, heavy of red wine and light of wood, metallic. Taste: tart after ripe grapes with a clear barrel aroma on the finish. Only very little astringent, soft round taste. I like the wine.
Megan - It was good. It was more tart than spicy. Which isn't necessarily a flavor I prefer, but it's still good.
Gavin - Smells and tastes like cherry rind. But tart. Slightly tart, with a smooth finish.
