Rioja - 2020 - Ramón Bilbao

Purchased at Marktkauf. Tried on November 1st, 2024, mostly so that we'd have wine for a fruit-fly trap. Listed on the bottle as 14% alcohol, exactly.
Tasting notes:
April - Smelled like a strong red wine. Tasted fairly pleasant, though with a strong bitter note to it. The second sip gave me wine shivers. I think, in general, Rioja tends to be a decent wine that might occasionally just be too strong for my palate. But I like it for being strongly what it is, in general, even if a strong wine is often not my preferred style.
Jeanette - Ramón: Geruch typisch nach Rotwein. Geschmack: zu Beginn erstaunlich süß, und wässrig. Im Abgang dann eine holzige Fassnote und leicht adstringierend. Der Wein schmeckt ein bisschen wie „gewollt aber nicht gekonnt“ zu wenig Volumen aber trotzdem nicht wirklich schlecht. Ein durchschnittlicher Tafelwein würde ich sagen.
