Part of the Quarantini 2022 Advent Calendar. Both Jeanette and April purchased the calendar, would do a tasting, and then send tasting notes back and forth. There are also videos from Quarantini about each gin, and sometimes those were watched, though after doing the gin tasting so as to see how much we agreed or disagreed.
Tasting notes:
April - Smells fairly strongly. With the title, I could see it being prickly pear mouthwash for the scent. It's pleasant, though.
Front of tongue has a really delightful fruit flavor with a little bit of fizzyness. Back of tongue might be a bit paint thinner-y, and the aftertaste is not pleasant. Slightly odd flavors someplace, too.
But on the whole, I like it, especially that front of the tongue taste. I'll place it 3rd.

Jeanette - der Geruch ist süß fruchtig und wieder könnte es ein Parfüm sein. Allerdings ist es kein exotischer Geruch sondern die Birne ist wahrnehmbar.
Geschmacklich ist es ein fruchtiger Gin, der ein wenig an einen Obstbrand erinnert. Der Alkohol ist scharf und zieht bis in die Nase.
Angenehm ist tatsächlich der Nachgeschmack, der ziemlich lange anhält und nach der Birne schmeckt, die im Namen versteckt ist.
Zum Pur verkosten vielleicht zu scharf als Longdrink sicherlich sehr schmackhaft… ach und Wacholder ist mal wieder nicht zu schmecken. Vom Ranking im vorderen Bereich trotz des sehr intensiven Bennen vom Alkohol. Platz 5 ist passend.
