Quarantini Pineapple Gin Front

Part of the Quarantini 2022 Advent Calendar. Both Jeanette and April purchased the calendar, would do a tasting, and then send tasting notes back and forth. There are also videos from Quarantini about each gin, and sometimes those were watched, though after doing the gin tasting so as to see how much we agreed or disagreed.

Tasting notes:

April - Minimal smell. The front seemed fruity on the first sip, but then largely was just fizzy and sharp after that, and the back of the tongue was paint thinner.

As much as I was excited to try the pineapple, as I thought the flavoring would go well, I just don't think it did. So it'll rank pretty low.

I think it'll go below mango, with basically the same experience. But still well above the beer flavor.

Jeanette - the smell is pleasant and unobtrusive. It smells like pineapple only because I know it is the aroma donor. A hint of pineapple wine gum describes the smell perhaps quite well.

The taste is similar... the pineapple is very subtle the alcohol more prominent but not unpleasant despite the sharpness.

In the overall picture a gin without juniper without corners and edges ... okayish in the ranking somewhere in the midfield.
