Quarantini Mediterranean Gin Back
Part of the Quarantini 2022 Advent Calendar. Both Jeanette and April purchased the calendar, would do a tasting, and then send tasting notes back and forth. There are also videos from Quarantini about each gin, and sometimes those were watched, though after doing the gin tasting so as to see how much we agreed or disagreed.
Tasting notes: April - Weird. Not really sure what to make of it. Reading Mediterranean probably made me smell a hint of olives, but not really sure on the spices they put in. The smell is more sage or something than the previous, fruitier days. This one was a bit odd with the back of the tongue part also having a bit of flavor, and that was a surprise, because normally it's paint thinner.
And, sure, there was a little bit of that, but not so much today. This one seemed decent, and I'll be ranking more based on preferences than disliking it or anything. I'm not sure if it should be over the line for considering purchasing, and maybe I'll adjust that line, but I think I'll slot it between 5 and 8

Jeanette - der Geruch erinnert mich ein bisschen an Kräutermundspülung. Geschmacklich ist er nicht so fruchtig wie sonst und ich habe den Eindruck, dass Anis eine Rolle bei den Botanicals spielt. Eine Mundspulung könnte ähnlich schmecken. Die Schärfe vom Alkohol ist nicht langanhaltend, ich bin mir unsicher, ob ich ihn mag oder nicht. Er schmeckt interessant… das ist sicher. Vielleicht auf Platz 6 oder 7
