Purchased in Hamburg just after Christmas 2022. Probably tasted on January 14th, 2023
Tasting notes:
April - Smells nice. Floral, with the hint of Gobstoppers.
Sparkly in the front, a fair amount of juniper elsewhere. No major weak points, and seems like a solid gin, without being too much of anything. Seems good.
Jeanette - Geruch: sehr angenehm, vielleicht nach VeilchenBlüten, ein bisschen Vanille und eventuell eine zarte Wacholdernote
Geschmack: zunächst süß mit langsam zunehmender Schärfe vom Alkohol. Der Geschmack ist ähnlich wie der Geruch, blumig aromatisch nicht wirklich süß aber auch nicht wie ein klassischer Dry Gin. Im Abgang ein Hinweis auf Wacholder… nicht aufdringlich aber durchaus präsent. Ich mag den Gin und kann ihn mir gut mit einem Eiswürfel quasi pur vorstellen.
Later on, Jeanette remembered this gin as being one that she liked, in part because it has a pleasant Sanddorn flavor. And, because of it, tried Sundown Gin - 2023 - Berlin Distillery in the hopes it'd have a similar flavor, but was disappointed, there, as, unlike with this gin, the Sanddorn flavor was missing.
