On the Cabernet Franc - a little sour. would not buy
The tasting menu said, "A dry red wine with gentle layers of red, ripe fruit. The bold and spicy aroma will captivate you. Barrel aged in American Oak for 12 months. Price per bottle: $24.99".
This was one of the wineries Megan and April visited along with other people from the Ricca family as part of the Ricca Family Reunion. The particular trip for these notes was 2016. This was memorable for April because she really like the Marquette, and would love to try the grape again if only she could find some place that sells it.
Notes from tasting:
Cabernet Franc - a little sour. would not buy
Pinot Noir - decent Pinot noir. inoffensive. Young tasting, but not too sour
Marquette - April liked this one. Megan says this is her favorite wine so far. Not too sweet, not too sour, just "wine-y tasting"
Merlot - Megan said, "tastes like earwax". April thinks it was a bit sour
Cabernet Sauvignon - non-offensive
See the [Google doc] for pictures and notes from the trip. Everything should be here already, but linking all the same.
