Quarantini Blueberry Gin Front

Part of the Quarantini 2022 Advent Calendar. Both Jeanette and April purchased the calendar, would do a tasting, and then send tasting notes back and forth. There are also videos from Quarantini about each gin, and sometimes those were watched, though after doing the gin tasting so as to see how much we agreed or disagreed.

Tasting notes:

April - Interesting, light blue/grey color. And finally back to something closer to a Gobstoppers smell. It smells fairly strongly and is pleasant. Probably some blueberry in there. Certainly a bit different from earlier gins.

I can believe the blueberries with the taste, too. Back of the tongue isn't pleasant, because of the alcohol, but it's really not too bad. I think this may be my favorite of the set. Certainly is among the fruity gins that don't have the juniper berry flavor.

I think I'll put it second, though could see it switching spots with 1 and 3, depending on if I were going more for cinnamon, blueberry, or juniper berry, among Quarantini gins.

Jeanette - Fruity smell of blueberry. It smells a bit like candy or maybe perfume - not unpleasant.

Taste-wise, it is again a very fruity gin. The blueberry is distinct - I was unsure at first if I would find the flavor artificial... but even though it tastes very intense, it's not too unnatural.

The alcohol is again very sharp and burning but it dissipates quickly leaving a lingering blueberry flavor. A decent fruit gin ... without juniper.

The complete ranking I make again at the end ... certainly this gin comes in the upper midfield ...
