Part of the Quarantini 2022 Advent Calendar. Both Jeanette and April purchased the calendar, would do a tasting, and then send tasting notes back and forth. There are also videos from Quarantini about each gin, and sometimes those were watched, though after doing the gin tasting so as to see how much we agreed or disagreed.

Tasting notes:

April - I drank this one first, without smelling it, and it tastes pretty fruity, and the alcohol not too bad.

Then I smelled it, and it seems mildly fruity, but not really any strong scent.

Then I tasted it again, and it seemed less fruity and the alcohol stronger.

Then one more time on all of them, the smell was a teensy bit stronger, the fruit was decent, and the alcohol medium.

So... Mid range among the fruit gins, I think. I'll place it just below the consider-purchase line, though it seems pretty similar to 8.

Jeanette - Tag 23 Schwarze Johannisbeere:

Geruch: Sehr fruchtig nach Johannisbeeren - ziemlich ähnlich zu einer Weingummisorte von Katjes. Der Geruch ist angenehm lässt allerdings vermuten, dass es nach dem kurzen Ausflug von gestern wieder zu den fruchtigen Ginsorten übergeht. Die Farbe ist hübsch, für schwarze Johannisbeere vielleicht zu lila…

Geschmack: Fruchtig und ziemlich authentisch nach Cassis. Der Alkohol ist dieses mal nicht sehr scharf und im ganzen ist das Aroma angenehm. Der Geruch von Weingummi findet sich im Geschmack wieder - allerdings nicht künstlich.

Viel mehr Aromen als das des black currant schmecke ich allerdings nicht.

Im Ganzen ein angenehmer Geschmack - wenig nach Gin aber als Mix Spirituose sicherlich sehr gut geeignet.
