Part of the Quarantini 2022 Advent Calendar. Both Jeanette and April purchased the calendar, would do a tasting, and then send tasting notes back and forth. There are also videos from Quarantini about each gin, and sometimes those were watched, though after doing the gin tasting so as to see how much we agreed or disagreed.
Tasting notes:
April - I'm not really sure what "Bergamot" is. My first guess was a pear.
Smell is fruity, and fairly strongly so. Pleasant.
Taste is similar. Maybe a bit more subdued, but generally pleasant. Alcohol is unpleasant, as is always the case, but it's not too bad / paint thinner-y, here. Bit of an unpleasant aftertaste, though.
This was pretty good, though I think it started out strong and went to okay. But on balance pretty good.

Jeanette - I like the smell of this. Slightly citrusy and a bit like Earl grey tea. The bergamot is a pleasant aroma.
The taste is also pleasant, the flavour of citrus/ bergamot is not overpowering but aromatic.
The alcohol taste distinct but not burning or overly long lasting. I find the gin balanced and actually tasty neat. Ranking In any case in the front range, perhaps at number 2.
