BeGinliche Weihnachten - 2023 - Flaschenpost Gin
Tasted December 23rd, 2023 at the Christmas Avenue Berlin Weihnachtsmarkt. We didn't actually purchase anything, but April and Jeanette tried this gin, and the person behind the counter mixed it with hot apple juice, so it was basically a glühgin. It was mostly remarkable for having the glitter effect in it, which you can kind of see in the top-middle bottle, as he had just shaken the bottle up shortly beforehand.
The link has "2023" in it, but this is listed as "No vintage", because it's unlikely there's a vintage on the bottle, but the BeGinliche Weihnachten had a differently-labeled 2022 edition, and thus this is clearly the 2023 edition.
Tasting notes: April - Writing this a couple days after having tried it, I mostly remember it just being kind of disgusting. But it was warm, and tasted vaguely like gin, and the person behind the counter was friendly. But I didn't really want to get anything, especially after having picked up the color-changing gin at a Flaschenpost Gin booth in Münster.
Jeanette - It was quite sweet, and not really gin. No idea why they call it gin. Probably because there's gin in it, but beyond that... And I also didn't clearly recognize the Bratapfel flavor that it was supposed to have. But it was sweet, it was warm, and it was nothing I'd like to own.
