This was the last wine in the tastings. Plural, because we did the first flight as non-members while getting talked into a membership, then another flight in an interesting wine tree that had all five glasses in it. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch during that time, while trying to stay out of the sunlight and heat. Everyone was sweating a bit. Ino was staying under the table, though of course was a topic of conversation with other patrons of the place. The picture with the other dogs was when we first arrived -- the non-Ino dogs started barking, so we had them meet and the dogs quieted down.
Our notes - April found it peppery. Okay, but still not a fan - Megan - good. 6.5. 6.8 for Joanne. 7.3, maybe 7.1 for Rico.
Consumed while wine tasting on June 10th, 2019 along with Joanne and Rico.
Notes from tasting:
2014 merlot - Megan - good, dry April - not a fan of Merlots - Ino - hints of vanilla and pepper with a bold finish. Tannins. Rico and JoAnne gave it a 7.5 out of 10
2016 proprietary red blend - April felt it was a bit sour, and didn't enjoy - Megan likes this one. 7 for Megan and Joanne, 7.2 for Rico
2015 cab franc - April found this one was a bit sour, too. Megan - like this one too. Rico says 7.6 or 7.7. Joanne likes it the same as the Merlot. Megan also.
2016 Malbec - April is tasting everything as sour. pleasant enough - Megan - good. She's drunk (rude). Megan says it's an 8. Rico is 7.5. Joanne also an 8.
2014 petit sirah - April found it peppery. Okay, but still not a fan - Megan - good. 6.5. 6.8 for Joanne. 7.3, maybe 7.1 for Rico.
Megan got a membership, and split the initial 4 bottles with Joanne and Rico. Malbec and merlot for Megan, malbec and franc for Joanne and Rico.
