Trefilari Primitivo - 2022 - Sampietrana

Tasted while on a trip to Antwerp, Belgium. Purchased at a Jumbo, with a half bottle costing 7.09€. Tried it after a dinner using a teriyaki meal kit that was also purchased at that Jumbo.

Tasting Notes

April - Strong scent that I can entirely believe is Zinfandel. Half sweet, fairly pleasant, though immediate wine shivers. Upon further tastings, lots more wet dog flavor, and a bit more wine shivers. I don't think it's especially bitter, but the flavor in general is not a favorite. It's not _bad_ or anything, but I'm not entirely sold on the flavor. I probably wouldn't get this one again, if going on taste alone. But there are interesting aspects to it.

Jeanette - Primitivo Sampietrana 2022: Geruch: metallisch, dunkel mit leichter Fruchtnote. Geschmack: fruchtig - beerig nach toten Trauben und Kirschen, sehr vollmundig mit leicht säuerlichen Abgang. Ein bisschen holzig, ein winziges bisschen metallisch. Kein starker Alkoholgeschmack und kaum adstringierende Wirkung. Ein solider Wein nach meinem Geschmack - vielleicht ein bisschen zu wenig Ecken und Kanten, vom Geschmack gut und vorhersehbar.
