Bottle front

Purchased on a side trip on the way back from Revision, though Jeanette was about five days after having first tested positive for COVID, so we attempted to keep it quick, and only April did any tasting when inside the winery.

But this was a place that April had wanted to visit, after finding out that Staffelter Hof is the oldest continuously-run business in Germany. And, since it's a winery, one can fairly easily buy things from there, and it's not even super expensive.

Walking in felt like walking into a person's home, and took a while to get a person who was an appropriate person to sell us wine. When that person arrived, we headed to a back area that had a nice-looking dining room, and a wine bar.

April quickly tried a couple of wines, and purchased a Rosé and a Pinot Noir, figuring those were the most likely for her to enjoy.

The bottle says "Casanova" on it, so presumably that's the grape, though online items seem to indicate that the grape is a white-wine grape. Perhaps something in that statement is wrong, but, regardless, it should be a dry rosé, regardless of what grape varietals contributed to it.

Tasting notes:

No tasting notes for now, as April didn't take any at the time of the quick tasting. But the wines are still sealed, as of this writing, so something for later.
