April - | April - Smells a little bit medicinal. Taste was spicy into immediate alcohol shivers. Aftertaste was mostly okay, but still involved a larger amount of burning of the lips and in the throat. All in all, not _terrible_, but I wasn't a big fan. But it should work well enough when made into a strawberry rhubarb pie. | ||

Purchased this at Ulrik-P while on the island of Rømø in Denmark. This is one in the set of three Fanø-sourced rums (Havmanden Skibsrom - Fanø Spirits, Kaptajnen Skibsrom - Fanø Spirits, Havfruen Skibsrom - Fanø Spirits).
The store had a variety of interesting things; not just alcohol, but April ended up getting this because of it seeming local (even though she didn't visit Fanø, though it was somewhat nearby), and rum is always helpful to have around for putting into pie dough.
Tasting notes:
April - Smells a little bit medicinal. Taste was spicy into immediate alcohol shivers. Aftertaste was mostly okay, but still involved a larger amount of burning of the lips and in the throat. All in all, not _terrible_, but I wasn't a big fan. But it should work well enough when made into a strawberry rhubarb pie.
