Jeanette and April visited Bookz n Booze in Antwerp in October 2024, and tried out this and Puffin Gold - Puffin Distillery when talking with the owner of the shop. Jeanette ended up liking the orange enough to buy it.
Though it may have been slightly more about how the bottle looked than the gin, though she did prefer this between the two.
This one has more orange in it, and the gold was strawberry.
Tasting notes:
April - Trying to recall this, as writing these notes out a day afterward, but I imagine there was some amount of a citrus smell, but on the whole I can't say that I particularly liked either gin. Neither were objectionable, though, I suppose.
Jeanette - It was more like a classical gin, with some hints of orange flavor. In combination with the nice bottle, it was reason enough to buy it. It will work with some tonic fairly well.
