"Other" are things that don't seem _quite_ reasonable to have in their own categories (yet). Origin of this category was after finding out about the VDP classification model, and thinking about Kosher or Organic wines.

The VDP classification model is a voluntary association in Germany. The order, from least-restrictive to most-restrictive, is GUTSWEIN, ORTSWEIN, ERSTE LAGE, GROSSE LAGE

VDP.Gutswein - The wines come from the estate's own vineyards.

the following levels are more restrictive on having th ebest vineyards, highest quality, narrowly-demarcated terroir, etc. If someone reading this has a simple way of being able to tell the difference, it'd be nice to mention that here.

But [https://www.vdp.de/en/the-wines/classification] at least has an introduction to the concept.
